Welcome to The Earlsdon Cottage which has undergone a million pound refurbishment to create the most prestigious wine bar and restaurant in the City of Coventry. The finest ‘London class’ wine bar/bistro is brought to Coventry and opened in early December ’06.
A large ‘piano bar’ conservatory overlooking the garden area has the ability to cater for not only private parties but, for example, corporate events, and meetings. Can comfortably take 150 patrons. A special feature, unique to the Coventry area, will be the extendable ‘jumbrellas’ which can be joined at the touch of a button to create a huge cover in the landscaped garden area. This will create a heated outdoor area that can be used all year round. Live music in which the pub has built its reputation all the year will continue midweek with not only local musicians but some nationally known artists also appearing.
The restaurant, created upstairs, will provide a ‘fine dining’ menu headed by a Gordon Ramsey scholar chef. Its cosy surroundings have been created by a magnificent vaulted roof and still retains original fireplaces from the old watch makers cottage. A mixture of ultra modern and traditional décor coupled with the very best dining venue in the area.
The Real Ale Bar, ‘The New Snug’, local customers – so loyal to the Earlsdon Cottage over many decades – will not be left out. In fact a new ‘Snug’ with traditional keg/real ale beers will ensure that the local community is well catered for!
