The Crucible Sports and Social Club is a new venue now open in Newbury for snooker, pool, darts, poker and live sports events.
Ideally located opposite Newbury Racecourse, The Crucible is easily accessible by rail from Thatcham and Hungerford and boasts ample parking for members. For those who live in Newbury, we are just a short walk away from the town centre.
Unlike other clubs in the area, The Crucible will be a light and enjoyable place to play snooker- boasting 9 high class snooker tables with plenty of room to play as well as dedicated competition rooms. On top of this, we will have 7 traditional 8 ball pool tables and 2 American 9 ball pool tables. For dart players, we have 2 boards, each complete with scoring systems.
We hold regular Poker tournaments which start at 7pm every Friday (registration at 630pm) and showing sporting events in our separate Lounge Bar as well as serving a wide range of drinks and hot and cold food.
A big part of the atmosphere at The Crucible will be the regular social and professional tournaments we will be holding, as well as social events like our comedy evening on saturday 19th November from 'Bullseye Live Tour' Host Neil Wheatley (tickets are just £5).
