China City Restaurant are specialists in Peking, Cantonese and Oriental cuisine. Based in Leeds Road, Glasshoughton our restaurant is fully airconditioned with a private car park with plenty of free parking. Able to cater for over 200 persons we are ideal for Weddings, Private Parties, Birthdays and Corporate functions. Offering a buffet menu, take away menu and a full a la carte service offering mouthwatering dishes.

Buffet Menu

We have a buffet menu available offering a large selection of dishes with an eat as much as you can for a fixed price. Available seven days a week  we have a lunchtime buffet (12 noon - 2.30pm), evening buffet (5.00pm - 11.00pm) and all day sunday buffet (12 noon - 10.30pm):

• Monday - Saturday lunchtime buffet - £6.90 per adult, £4.00 per child under 10.
• Monday to Friday evening buffet - £11.90 per adult, £6.00 per child under 10.
• Saturday evening buffet - £12.50 per adult, £6.00 per child under 10.
• All day Sunday Buffet - £9.50 per adult, £5.00 per child under 10.
• KIDS EAT FREE - UNDER 10 - MONDAY TO THURSDAY 5PM - 7PM (1 child per paying adult)

• 15 Starters inc  prawn toast, wan tongs, spare ribs, prawn crackers, spring rolls, seaweed.
• 5 Soups inc Wan Ton soup, Chicken with sweetcorn soup, Tom Yum, Szechuan soup.
• 7 Chicken dishes inc in black bean ssauce, chinese thai style, with onions, mushrooms.
• 8 Beef and Pork Dishes inc szechuan style, with ginger and spring onions, with lemon sauce.
• 9 Seafood Dishes inc King Prawn with garlic, sweet chilli, black bean, peking style.
• 4 Curry Dishes inc Thai curry, green curry, curry with mixed vegetables, chicken curry.
• 7 Vegetable dishes inc stir fried veg, Tofu in Black bean sauce, beansprouts in fish sauce.
• 7 Rice and Noodle Dishes inc fried rice, special fried rice, fried noodles, fried vermicelli.
• 6 Desserts inc Melon, Banana and Pineapple fritter, Fruit salad, ice cream , fresh orange.

A la Carte Menu

We also offer a full a la carte menu throughout the week for those that want specific dishes to order. All the menus are on each table.

Take Away Menu

Our take away menu has over 140 dishes available to collect, this includes special set dinners for between one and four persons and more if required. We also do a special cantonese set dinner for two with a selection of special dishes.
