The Gallery is Grade ΙΙ listed in the centre of the old market town of Thirsk in North Yorkshire. You may be visiting us for a stopover, a wedding, a short break, on business or as a James Herriot fan. Whichever, Kathryn & Steve offer their guests luxurious accommodation, with three en-suite rooms, a warm welcome and good local food in their delicious breakfasts.
Perfectly placed to explore Thirsk, The Gallery is just a two minute walk from the cobbled market square, with markets on Monday & Saturday, and its many shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. The World of James Herriot is across the road from the B&B with Thirsk Museum next door and the racecourse a five minute walk away.
Thirsk is the ideal base from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors. York, Harrogate and Yorkshire’s beautiful coast with the resorts of Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hoods Bay are within easy reach.

As a member of the “deliciouslyorkshire” breakfast scheme and gaining Highly Commended in the Flavours of Hambleton “Breakfast of the Year 2007” awards we pride ourselves on sourcing as much local produce as we can. Our range of sausages, dry cured bacon, Doreen’s black pudding, free range eggs, jam, marmalade, honey, butter, milk, tea and coffee are all produced locally. Our fruit and vegetables are bought at Thirsk market who are supplied by local farms wherever possible.
