The Schoolroom Museum in Great Ayton is housed in a building once used as a charity school which was founded in 1704 by Michael Postgate,The museum is on the first floor of the building, but there is a lift for the disabled. Peep-holes and activities for younger children.Gifts, books, cards & souvenirs, Opening hours: 1st April - 31st October 1.00pm - 4.00pm daily. July & August 11.00am - 4.00pm daily

Hartlepool's Maritime Experience is located in the heart of the town's developing retail and leisure facilities. It overlooks the stunning marina with its many bars and restaurants, The Maritime Experience has it's own large car park. There is no charge for parking. Opening Times 10am -5pm daily (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day).
