For a fantastic day out visit Knowsley Safari Park. We have around 30 species of mammal roaming 200 hectares of land, plus a few birds, reptiles and invertebrates. Enjoy a 5 mile safari through 450 acres of historic parkland that is home to hundreds of animals from around the world including lions, rhinos, elephants, camels, zebras and many more.
Norton Priory where you can step back in time to the Victorian past. Meet some of the Brooke family servants, have a go at their daily tasks and find out what life was really like. Norton Priory is a fantastic day out for all the family and is one of the largest excavated monastic sites in Europe.
The Smithy is based in an original Blacksmith's Forge that was still operating until the late 1970's. The Smithy has a free permanent exhibition or original artefacts that detail the heritage of Eccleston. For the younger visitor there are a number of interactive displays including puzzles and period costumes.
