Museums in St Helens
Norton Priory where you can step back in time to the Victorian past. Meet some of the Brooke family servants, have a go at their daily tasks and find out what life was really like. Norton Priory is a fantastic day out for all the family and is one of the largest excavated monastic sites in Europe.
Formally known as St Helens Transport Museum, The North West Museum of Road Transport houses a unique and extensive collection of historic public road vehicles from the North West region. The collection is made up of 68 vehicles, largely buses, and a wealth of information and the associated materials relating to each exhibit. There is plenty to see and do at St Helens World of Glass inlcuding live glass blowing, the Victorian Tunnels and the Mirror Maze. Wheelchair Accessible throughout with lifts to all floors and specially adapted toilet facilities. There is a gift shop selling beautifully crafted glass pieces that has something to suit all budgets and also a cafe for snacks and light refreshments.
Open Tues-Sun 10am - 5pm (Please note the last admission is 3pm).
