The George and Dragon are close to the cathedral racecourse. A friendly and inviting pub with restaurant serving fresh home cooked food. All food is sourced using local butchers and producers and is freshly prepared. Parties can be catered for with a function room holding up to 50 people, any occasions such as birthdays, christenings, anniversaries, shooting parties etc. Buffets can be supplied which again are using local suppliers. Themed nights are held for occasions such as Valentines Day, Mothers Day etc with special menus on these nights. There are also 2 en-suite bedrooms available. Our service and meals are of the highest standard and at reasonable prices. We are open 7 days a week with a lunchtime menu served between 12pm and 2pm. Evening meals are served between 6pm and 9pm. Sunday meals are served all day between 12pm and 8pm. Children are welcome and there is varied childrens menu available again which is freshly cooked. A function room is available to hire for parties, christenings etc and the catering can be supplied.
