North Lanarkshire
North Lanarkshire is one of 32 unitary authority areas in Scotland bordering the north east of the City of Glasgow and contains many of Glasgow's suburbs, commuter towns and villages. It also borders Falkirk, East Dumbartonshire, West Lothian and South Lanarkshire. The council covers parts of the former counties of Lanarkshire, Dumbartonshire, and Stirlingshire. The area was formed in 1996 largely from the Cumbernauld and Kilsyth, Motherwell and Monklands districts. More about North-Lanarkshire here >
