Tourist Information for the area must include details of the only 18th century Palladian country house in Cheshire.Tabley House is open to visitors April to the end of October on Thursday,Friday,Saturday and Sundays as well as Bank Holiday Mondays. Close to the M6 and easy to find this country house has a fine art collection and is a Grade 1 listed building. Lunches and afternoon tea are available from 12.00 noon- 5pm and the house is open from 2pm - 5pm. Group parties of over 25 get a discount on the Adult entry price of £4.00 and Children £1.50.

This historic local exhibition in the town centre provides a great place for tourist information, housed in a reconstructed seventeenth century timber framed building, which was originally the local local smithy. This exhibition includes the story and history of the area and some of the famous inhabitants including Elizabeth Gaskell and Henry Royce. There is also art exhibitions and the unique military tapestry showing the town, this took 4 years to complete and involved 3000 people. Gift and souvenir shop is on site along with access to a lot of information for visitors to the area and provides a good insight into the local architecture and history of this area of Cheshire.
