Margaret Clark, who has competed, and won, at affiliated Dressage, Show jumping and British eventing, opened Bewerley Riding Centre, in the heart of Nidderdale, in 1965.

Our Riding school is A.B.R.S approved and is under the supervision of registered British Horse society (BHS) qualified instructors offering expert tuition in an attractive and safe environment. With the wealth of experience we offer private, semi-private and group lessons for adults and children, whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider looking to improve your technique.

In school holidays we offer lots of activities for children such as pony fun days, gymkhana's, jumping afternoons and tinies mornings, where they come learn and have fun. In term time we offer special rates for adults riding lessons and hacking between 10am-2pm Tuesday-Friday. We have a good selection of well-mannered, quality horses and ponies to suit all abilities.

We also offer hats and boots to current standards for any one that does not own their own. Unfortunately we have to have a weight limit of 14 stones. Bewerley offers good facilities, which include a large indoor school, outdoor sand menage, grass jumping paddock, good hacking and trekking in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
