Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy skin care is used to treat a whole range of conditions and is believed to work on people both physically and psychologically. Essential oils may be inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Inhaled scents stimulate the olfactory centres in the nose and particular parts of the brain. Oils massaged into the skin pass into the bloodstream and can influence nervous system function, mental function and emotions.

Hopi Ear Candles
Thermal Auricular Therapy (also known as Hopi Ear Candles) is a pleasant and non-invasive treatment of the ears, used to treat a variety of conditions. The ear candles induce a revitalising heat upon the head and ears, which soothes, relieves and relaxes. Hopi Ear Candles can relieve compacted ear wax and is excellent for ear, nose and throat complaints like sinus problems.

Reiki
The technique of Reiki is simple and highly effective. It is a great way to counteract stress and involves using the energy flowing through your body. Reiki combines well with other complementary therapies such as reflexology, homœopathy, massage and aromatherapy. You simply lie on a couch and relax. There is no need to remove any clothing as Reiki will pass through anything, even plaster casts. The practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively in a sequence of positions which cover the whole body. The whole person is treated rather than specific symptoms.

Waxing
Waxing is an excellent way to deal with most hair removal. Waxing leaves the area smoother than shaving does because it pulls the hair out from below the top layer of skin. This is the easiest and most convenient way to go about removing hair from large areas. With hot waxing, a thin layer of heated wax is applied to the skin in the direction of the hair growth. The hair becomes embedded in the wax as it cools. The wax is then pulled off quickly in the opposite direction of the hair growth, taking the hair with it.

Manicure
Our hands and nails take a lot of stress on a daily basis, enjoy the pampering benefits of a manicure and rejuvenate your hands. Gel Nails are also available.

Pedicure
Give your feet a treat with our pedicures, we have a wide range of polishes available to make your nails sparkle.

Tanning
We use Fake Bake tan to create that sun kissed look, do you have a special night out or special occasion coming up? Call us to make your skin look amazing! Fake Bake will create a natural and beautiful tan and is an excellent alternative for fair skinned people who don't easily take a tan, or for people who may have concerns about too much sun exposure or other tanning methods.
We also offer Sun Spray Tan.

Eye Treatments
Alexandra’s specialise in all types of eye treatments such as eyelash perming, tinting, shaping, eyebrow tinting and eyebrow shaping.
Eyebrow tinting changes the colour of your eyebrows, adds the illusion of thickness and dimension and may be the closest thing to permanent make-up for the brows and lashes.
Another specialty treatment available is eyelash perming. This magic elixir helps eliminate daily eyelash curler use and keeps natural lashes curled to perfection. The perm should last the life of your eyelashes, which translates to approximately 5 months.

Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone massage has been used in many different cultures for many years. Healers used rocks from the river beds and warmed them either in hot coals or hot water. Placing the hot stones on cloth on the body and arranging them along the energy centres of the body would help to relax the muscles and reduce pain or discomfort, boosting a healing process. Hot Stones can help to improve circulation and can help reduce stress, anxiety, tension and depression.
