The Vehicles

The wedding cars that Silver Lady Rolls Royce have available for hire are all beautifully maintained and thouroughly reliable.

The oldest and perhaps the most evocative is the 1930 Rolls-Royce Phantom II All Weather Tourer. This is a unique motor car with hand built coachwork in Old English White, and is absolutely stunning. It is obviously most striking with the hood down but the car has all weather equipment and a secondary windscreen for passengers when the weather is inclement. The car is enormous and a truly impressive vehicle at 20 feet long reflecting an an era of bygone motoring elegance and nostalgia. Originally built for Sir Arthur Sainsbury, this car has had a distinguished career and has been the subject of a major restoration and engine rebuild during current ownership.

They also have a 1962 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III Four Door Saloon. This is a beautiful and majestic car in two tone green with cherry red, leather upholstery. It is sumptuously comfortable and glides along as quiet as a whisper. This car was built in the era when Rolls Royce's marketing publicity boasted that the loudest noise in the car was the ticking of the dashboard clock ! Originally built for the Managing Director of Rolls Royce as his company car, it has every conceivable extra. More recently it was in the ownership of a Japanese businessman and formed part of his private collection in his motor museum in Tokyo. It has recently been the subject of a paint respray and is in exceptional condition.

For those who prefer to arrive in a limousine there is the 1974 Daimler DS420 with coachwork by Vanden Plas. This is a seven seat limousine in Masons Black over Royal Claret, with extra fold out occasional seats and is very spacious and flexible. It is fitted with an electrically operated glass divider for privacy, a cocktail cabinet and champagne bucket. Well loved and in service with the Royal Household this model enjoys classic lines and sheer elegance. The car has recently been the subject of an extensive restoration, including a respray in it's current paint scheme and a re-trim in burgundy leather.
