Sun Inn
The Sun Inn was the second business to be acquired by J D Taverns. Joining the group in July 2001 and being managed by Andrew from the very beginning, The Sun has been well and truly brought into the 21st century.
As with all the Pubs in the group, a major refurbishment, implemented after the smoking ban came into effect, means that the bar areas are clean, fresh and welcoming, this coupled with the warm and friendly atmosphere created by the staff mean that Day or night the Sun is an excellent venue.
Again you will find the mix between traditional and modern. Five local league football teams make the sun there home along with the pool and darts teams, this, combined with the live Sky and Setanta Sports events on the wide screens in the bar make for a lively atmosphere.
As an alternative to the busy bar areas we have a large garden and children’s play area which is perfect for the family, you can relax with a quiet drink in the sun and still keep an eye on the kids.
Our food has become widely recognised as being of excellent quality and value for money, this is the place to eat, either at lunch time for a quick break from you busy work day or in the evening for a relaxing meal with friends, you will receive top quality service and fine food, as you would expect from an award winning pub.
