3. InsuranceINSURANCE WORK-FIRE AND FLOOD DAMAGE-SCHOOLS/ UNIVERSITY REQUIREMENTS After the summer floods in Tewkesbury in 2007 and the September floods in Morpeth in 2008, we were invited by insurance company loss adjusters to help with the crisis. We were amazed to find that certain families had been told that it may be a full year before they would be able to return to their homes. Even homes that had flood pollution problems our company turned them around in nine weeks, including drying out, complete re-wiring, re-flooring, re-plastering, new kitchens and bathrooms. The reason we were able to do this was simple.... we never bite off more than we can chew! This means we can keep our focus on one completion at once , as opposed to having multi projects done peice meal. Fire damage is our speciality! why ? Usually because it is a one off situation, which means that all our attention can focus specificialy on the job in hand. Efficient speed is the name of the game. Neither the insurance company or the customer wishes to be in a hotel for ever and day, so we have been known in the past to be able to attend a kitchen fire along with the loss adjusters and the customer, and to be able to have that customers back home in ten days! In this time the design work fire damage, decorating has all been efficiently negotiated. So wether we deal directly with the insurance company, loss adjuster or the private customer, we have the resources and ability to move very quickly. Upon initial on site consultation we are able to give a time of completion. SCHOOL/UNIVERSITY REQUIREMENTS Our cabinetry is designed for durability and longevity. When we first did work for the University of Manchester they were, up to that point using the cheapest cabinetry they could find. Hence they had "fourth bridge sydrome". Start painting at one end and by the time you've finished its time to start again. Similar situation with their cabinetry.Students are not the most caring of people and by the time the refurbishment was completed it was time to start the re fit. Our recommendation was to spend between 15 to 20% more for a product built to last, and since taking that route they discovered a massive drop in capital expenditure. Do it right first up! We recognize the need for suppliers within the sector to meet strict budgetary and sustainability requirements, whilst also demonstrating value for money, and would be pleased to quote competitively for your requirements. As our priority is to respond to your individual needs rather than to sell you a ready made product, we would very much welcome the opportunity to arrange an on site visit to discuss your requirements with your teams and advise a solution. Indeed, many of our clients find this early consultation the most valuable part of our service. |
