Recruitment
Information Evenings are held to enable members of the public, who are over 18, and who are thinking of volunteering in Wakefield to come along, meet some existing volunteers and find out more information about what Samaritans do by being an active listening volunteer on the telephone, answering emails and conducting face to face meetings at the centre as well as information about support volunteering – helping with fund raising, publicity events, coffee mornings, market stalls, cleaning or any of the other assorted jobs that help Samaritans to operate.
We are now recruiting potential volunteers for initial training.
Our next information sessions, at the centre, will be ;
Saturday 20th of March at 3.00pm
then later in the year: -
Thursday 22nd of April at 7.30pm
Monday 7th of June at 7.30pm
Saturday 26th of June at 3.00pm
Followed by : -
Monday 9th of august at 7.30pm
Saturday 25th of September at 3.00pm
We hope you will be able to attend one of these sessions. You will meet some of our volunteers. They will explain the branch and tell you what Samaritans is all about. If you want some moral support please bring along a friend.
We look forward to meeting you so put a date to put in your diary!
