This year Wakfield Samaritans is 40 years old on the 1st of October!

Our branch is one of over 200 located around the UK and Ireland. We serve the area around Wakefield, Pontefract, Castleford, Dewsbury and Normanton.

Charlotte Street is near the end of Thornhill Street which is off George Street, opposite the bottom entrance to Morrisons’ supermarket in the Ridings Shopping Centre.

Our two interview rooms for face to face callers are located in this building.

There is a separate entrance for our meeting/training room that is available for hire. This has seating for up to fifty, and there are ten folding tables. There are four small adjacent interview rooms. The small adjoining kitchen has a microwave and dishwasher, and there are male and female toilet facilities.
