Independent Bathing Systems is a local company which is run by Steve Christopher and his wife Amanda. They specialise in bathing equipment for the elderly and infirm installing walk-in-showers, bath lifts, hoists and other bathroom safety aids.
Both Steve and Amanda are trained designers who experienced first hand some of the problems that the older person can face, particularly in the bathroom, when Amanda's aged mother came to live with them. Having undertaken the relevant training they are now qualified to design, install and maintain the full range of bathing equipment and accessories need to ensure safe, comfortable and independent bathing for all their clients.
Specially designed, easy access showers with very low threshold trays are increasingly becoming the preferred choice for many elderly people. Many of these showers feature no-door, easy-entry access with some being specially designed to offer easy access for wheelchairs.
All showers are supplied with specially designed waterproof panels in lieu of tiles, offering a clean, safe and easy to care for solution that will delight all those who use it. Most showers also offer the option of a comfortable and stylish fold-away seat, allowing the user to enjoy a shower either standing up or sitting in comfort as preferred.
For those who prefer to have a bath Steve and Amanda are pleased to recommend their latest product "The Molly Bather" which has been ergonomically designed by one of the top designers of disability aids in consultation with Independent living centres. It has proved to be a very cost effective and user-friendly bathing aid and Steve is able to bring one to your home so that you can try before you buy.

The service includes the supply and fitting of any accessories and if appropriate will include all plumbing and electrical work and the supply and fitting of any new tiles or other appropriate floor covering.
