Stockport is a large town in Cheshire in the North West of England that dates back to 1170 and lies at the head of the River Mersey. Located seven miles south east of Manchester, Stockports town centre offers the visitor excellent shopping with most of the big high street names being found at Merseyway Shopping Centre and a wide range of shops in the nearby streets.

From bustling modern shopping areas to quaint cobbled streets, and lying on the edge of the Cheshire Plain and the Peak District, Stockport has it all.

There is a wide range of local attractions within the town and within easy reach that include Hat Works, the UK’s only museum dedicated to the hatting industry, Stockport Museum and Stockport Art Gallery. The town is also well served by rail and road access and Manchester and Liverpool are only a short drive away.
