Clifton Park Museum is a day out with a difference! One of the most modern and user-friendly Museums in the country, the two time nominated Museum of the year features famous exhibits such as Nelson the Lion and the breath-taking Rhinoceros Vase, the first ever porcelain vase cast in one piece!
To the south of Maltby, in an enchanting valley landscaped by Capability Brown lie the magnificent remains of Roche Abbey. Founded in 1147 by the Cistercians the abbey suffered under the dissolution of 1538 and much of the stone was plundered to build local cottages.
Rotherham Art Gallery runs temporary exhibitions throughout the year including photographs, Victorian paintings and contemporary art. Rotherham Art Gallery is part of the complex of buildings which includes the libraries, the York and Lancaster Museum, a cafe and meeting rooms that form Rotherham Arts Centre.
Rotherham Civic Theatre was converted from a Congregational Church. The Theatre plays host to many companies throughout the year with a programme which appeals to everyone. A wide programme of professional and amateur dance, drama, musicals, children’s theatre, comedy, music, pantomime and variety is presented from September until July every year.

Thrybergh Country Park is open all year round for walkers and bird watchers. There is also an adventure playground for the children to enjoy.The main recreational activities to take place at Thrybergh are walking and fly fishing. Activities take place all year round. Fishing is only permitted between March 25th and October 31st.
A comprehensive collection of uniforms, weapons, equipment and campaign relics traces the history of the Yorks & Lancs and its forbears the 65th and 84th Regiments of Foot from 1758 to 1968 through a chronological series of displays. Specific cases are dedicated to the Militia, Volunteers and Territorials, the Band, Silver and Sport.
