Leeds is a prosperous, commercial, industrial and manufacturing city, and the cultural and sporting centre for much of the North. In 2007 Leeds celebrated the 800th anniversary of the signing of the charter that created the borough of Leeds. Its is also said that Leeds has more parkland and open space than any other city in not just Britain, but in Europe aswell. Roundhay Park, Temple Newsam, and Lotherton Hall are just a few of the popular sites. These open spaces offer the opportunity to spend time in the outdoors without having to travel too far. Leeds is also well situated to visit the Yorkshire Dales, Derbyshire, the North Yorkshire Moors, The Lakes etc, by either car, rail or coach. The city is also home to many major banks, accountancy companies, insolvency practitioners, insurance firms, consultants, solicitors and building societies... More about Leeds here >
