At the very heart of North London, Islington is one of the most exciting places to be. Ever evolving since the turn of the century there is always plenty to do and see in this lively borough.
Islington is rich in the world of art with various galleries throughout the area and over the boarders. Whilst in the area the opportunity to feel the buzz of the Angel Art Arcade really shouldn’t be missed. The art market held every Saturday on Torrens Street is just one minutes walk from Angel Tube and hosts over 30 stalls of original works available from £5 to £50,000!
The bars and restaurants of Upper Street and its surrounding areas are famous throughout London, with varied menus and prices to suit everyone’s taste. This really is the place to come whether you want to wind down after office hours, paint the town red at the five star Venue The Key. For those that don’t already know, the mighty Red Alert is now based at the state of the art and 4 o’ clock licensed Carling Islington Academy every Saturday. Guests have included Ross Allen, Idjut Boys, Tutto Matto, Tom Middleton and Roots Manuva!
On the flip side of the hustle and busstle Islington has over 127 parks and open spaces to make the most of the sun, go for a leisurely stroll, kick a football about, have fun with the kids or just watch the world go by, we can cater for everything here in Islington! The largest park, Highbury Fields is a calm oasis of almost 30 acres, tucked away behind the exceedingly busy Highbury Corner. With beautiful walks, tennis courts and an award-winning children's playground, there should be something to please everyone at the borough's oldest park.
