Coventry Toy Museum houses a wonderful collection of toys dating from 1740 to 1951. The collection of toys is growing with each day and will soon be, if not already, one of the finest collections in the country. So come and see history and relive some of your childhood memories.

Coventry is the birthplace of the British cycle and motor industry, and the Museum displays the world’s largest collection of British road transport, including 240 cars, commercial vehicles and buses, 100 motorcycles, over 200 cycles and around a million archive and ephemera items. Admission is free.

The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum offers a fascinating visit with international appeal. Enjoy the Godiva City exhibition, one thousand years of Coventry's history, told through historical treasures, interactive games, archive film and objects to handle. The museum tells the story of the 6th Foot (Royal Warwickshire Regiment) from its raising in 1674 to the Fusilier of the present day. Greeted on arrival by a soldier of 1744 the story of the "Warwickshire Lads", be they Private or Field Marshal, is revealed through an exciting mixture of real objects, uniforms, weapons, equipment, medals, pictures, documents and curios.
Access
There is no wheelchair access to the first floor at present but certain items can be brought to the ground floor for viewing by appointment. Enquiries welcome.
