Attractions in Bury
Burrs Country Park, Bury is a modern Country Park, reclaimed and landscaped form a former industrial site.
It forms part of The Irwell Sculpture Trail.
On Site Actives include kayaking and canoeing, training pool, canoe polo, rafting, orienteering, abseiling adventure games, archery, and indoor climbing on a climbing wall.
Fully qualified instructors available.
A Caravan site is adjacent to the Burrs Country Park.
The East Lancashire Railway runs from Bury, through Ramsbottom and in to Rawtenstall in the Rossendale Valley. Many of the engines using the line are steam powered with classic engines often visiting the region.
Acre Bottom, near the railway station is home to Ramsbottom Cricket Club who play in the Lancashire League. The club has very good facilites which can be hired for events, sporting or otherwise.
