The Alhambra theatre has hosted such classic spectacles as Phantom of the Opera and has Bradford fast becoming a cultural hub. Each year the City holds an array of festivals including literature festivals that attract big names from the arts industry to a massive Mela, the largest of its kind outside of Asia.

Bradford Cathedral stands proud at the edge of Little Germany the historic heart of the city overlooking the original ‘broad ford’ over Bradford Beck where the city takes its name. Dating back to 1086 reference to Bradford can be found in the Domesday Book, the city certainly has improved immeasurably since the ‘waste land’ that it was once described as.

In the surrounding Halifax the variety of entertainment for all ages continues, with the Halifax Piece Hall that opened new years day 1779, containing 315 merchants' trading rooms and even after the death in cloth trade, is still used as a public market today.

The EUREKA! Museum for children opened in 1992 is a fantastic day out with over 400 must-touch interactive exhibits that really catch the inquisitive mind! Taking you to places, near and far, to the future and as far back as the dawn of time. Never a dull moment!
