Borth Butchers whose motto is ' A Cut Above The Rest` is owned by local man, Peter George. Peter has many years experience in the butchery business and it certainly shows. The first thing that greets you when entering Peter`s shop is the wonderful aroma of his fresh pies. The next is the glorious display of local Welsh meats, homemade burgers and sausages.

Peter`s specialities include the very rare Salt Marsh Lamb, the famous Welsh Black Beef, and Cheshire Cooked Ham and Bacon.

His homemade burgers and sausages are legendary and come in a variety of flavours such as pork and leek, pork and apple, sweet chilli, garlic and ginger, and his own speciality, the fiery Welsh Dragon.

Peter`s sausages and burgers have been tested by Ceredigion C.C. and found to contain 95% meat. His pork burgers and sausages contain apple juice rather than water which is the norm. This gives them a unique taste and reduces the salt content.

His deli counter is a delight, full of various types of meat pies, and baguettes stuffed full of his own meat fillings. Also on offer are cheeses, local free range eggs and a wonderful array of chutneys, sauces and preserves. Fresh Cardigan Bay crabs fully prepared and dressed are also regularly available

CATERING SERVICE Borth Butchers will also provide catering for that special occasion such as birthdays, anniversaries and weddings etc.. They will provide a wide variety of 'finger style` food and are able to 'Build a Buffet` to suit your taste, requirements and pocket.

During the Summer Peter`s barbecue packs are available in various sizes and flavours including piri-piri, tandori, Chinese style, hot and spicy and garlic butter. Whether you are on holiday or just chilling out at home this is one great way to spend or end your day.

For the tourist Peter supplies his Breakfast Box, which includes everything you need for a hearty Welsh breakfast to get you off to a flying start.
