Kolbeh at Skitby House
Fine Dining in and around Carlisle
The word Kolbeh has its origins in the ancient language of Persia.
The word has no literal translation as it has many uses, encompassing many phrases but essentially it means “little home” or “comfortable place”. Kolbeh is used within Persia to describe any dwelling, from a palace to a shack where a warm welcome is offered.
We believe that there are no strangers in life, only friends waiting to be made. We aim to ensure that friends both old & new are made to feel at home.
Our recently renovated restaurant is set in our beautiful garden creating the perfect setting for your Wedding, Family or business functions.
Our restaurant can accommodate up to 50 covers, while our smaller Skitby Wing, can be privately enclosed and holds up to 40 covers.
We have a Fine Dining, Table d’ hote menu on Wednesday through to Sunday evenings, with a traditional Roast Menu served at both Sunday Lunch and Dinner.
All our ingredients are sourced from local produce ensuring quality food for our Table d’ hote menu and our Sunday roasts.
