Claire’s Kitchen is situated in the middle of Kingstown Industrial Estate, just 2 minutes from Junction 44 off the M6.

As both myself and my son Mathew have Coeliac Disease, I know only too well how hard it is to find Home cooked Gluten – Free food that is at an affordable price.

My husband and i began the business as i was extremely annoyed at the prices of anything that we bought Gluten – Free, with manufacturers making money out of our illness.

We produce a wide range of Gluten, Wheat and Dairy Free produce, a small selection being:

A variety of chicken pies, meat pies, vegetarian pies, quiches, cakes which include a delicious carrot cake and a selection of Homemade Cream Cakes.

Prices for the pies are £1.60 each and the cream cakes are a bargain at 80 pence each.

One of my new lines is fresh pastry for you to take home and bake yourself.

We also make wedding cakes to order, decorated to your choice, so you too can have a dream wedding cake as featured in all the magazines because we can accommodate all bespoke requests and designs.

If you are calling in and fancy a bite to eat we can offer, cooked breakfasts, homemade sandwiches, soups, cheese on toast, whatever the size of your appetite we can accommodate you.

Julian and i travel to A.G.M’s for local coeliac groups, we work mainly with the West Cumbria group, if any group organisers would like us to come to their meetings we will try to help.

This year has seen us venture into the dedicated food fayres for Gluten – Free diets; we are showing in York on the 10^th May, Darlington on the 7^th June, Newmarket on the 12^th July, Peterborough on the 18^th of October and Penrith on the 15^th of November.

I make all the produce myself, sometimes with a helping hand from my mum to ensure all the items and produce i use are Gluten – Free.
