The Pocket and Majestic Suite

The Majestic Suite in Mexborough is the centre of entertainment for the whole South Yorkshire area. Handy for Doncaster, Rotherham, Sheffield and Barnsley; it is close to the M18 and attracts people from a wide area looking for a really good night out. There are regular live entertainment nights, many of them tribute nights which appeal to a wide audience. This year there have been shows dedicated to, amongst others; Peter Kay, Rod Stewart, Robbie Williams, Meatloaf and Take That. We also hold Soul music disco nights on the third Saturday in every month. Our attractions for 2008 include evenings dedicated to U2, The Rolling Stones, Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, Duran Duran , and James Brown.

The Majestic Suite downstairs is available for hire and is the ideal venue for all types of special occasions. Established for over twenty years our friendly and highly trained staff have the experience needed to make your function truly a day to remember. We can offer you a varied choice of menus to suit any budget and can also provide a disco and live entertainment according to preference. The function suite can seat 200 in comfort, and has room for 250 guests to create the perfect atmosphere; so we can cater for weddings birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, funerals, or corporate events. We also hold regular wedding fayres.

The Majestic is fully licensed to hold civil ceremonies including same sex marriages, and one of our management team will organise the whole day for you and be on hand to make sure it all goes off as planned; if you have more than 80 guests at your reception the function room will be free of charge, and our garden is the ideal setting for taking memorable photographs.

In the Pocket Bar we have 8 snooker and pool tables, and we are open from 10 am right through to midnight. This is not just a snooker club, it is also a social club with a sports bar, and has a large screen TV with seven smaller ones scattered around so you never miss any of the action.
