For more than 20 years, John Hall Designs has been adding ‘something special’ to homes around York and North Yorkshire. Our complete curtains and soft furnishings service brings a unique personal touch, working with customers to help create the homes they want to have. 

We cover the full range of styles and budgets. Whether it’s a single window or a whole house, we’ll sit down to discuss ideas with you, prepare designs and costings to consider, and then take the job right through to completion. You save the time spent trailing around shops. You don’t have to worry about all the making up and the result will be ‘something special’.

We bring a wide selection of pattern books from top designers John Wilman, Romo, Villa Nova, Harlequin, Blendworth, Ann and Robert Swaffer, Kai, Echelon, Skopos, James Hare Silks, Scutt and Coles. 

We work across the full range of soft furnishing styles - interlined, simple lining, machined or hand finishing, eyelets, poles or elaborate pelmets, whatever we do is completed to the highest standard. 

To compliment our fabric ranges we supply tracks, boards and poles, extensive ranges of trimmings and tiebacks and Vertical, Roller and Venetian blinds from Luxaflex and Lonsdale window fashion. 

We fit all our own curtains and blinds to ensure the finished effect is ‘something special’.
