Alan Devonport is an expert in the art of dry stone walling, one of the oldest of countryside crafts which enhances the rural landscape throughout Yorkshire. From his base between Barnsley and Huddersfield Alan has been involved in walling for nine years and is a Professional Member of the Dry Stone Walling Association. He is also a fully qualified DWSA instructor (Level 1) and member of the Yorkshire Dry Stone Walling Guild. All types of dry and wet stone walling both domestic and commercial can be undertaken from garden borders and features up to large scale commercial contracts. Where needed Alan will project manage or oversee the contract from start to finish and liase with sub-contractors as to the correct workforce needed. If your project involves working along the verges Alan is fully compliant with the road safety aspects of lighting, signing and guarding for the operation of traffic management on the highway under NRSWA rules.
