Hugh Black & Sons of Bathgate is a family run butcher with over 50 years experience in the Farming and Meat industry. The company is run by the late Mr Black's sons, Craig and Hugh. We pride ourselves in sourcing the finest quality livestock through Lanark and Stirling Auction Markets and traditionally mature the beef, bone-in, for up to 3 weeks to enhance tenderness and give a fuller flavour.

Hugh Black & Sons are moving from strength to strength, our award winning products are available through our shops in Armadale, Bathgate, Lanark, Cambuslang and Airdrie. It is our policy to hire and develop LOCAL people who pride themselves on delivering a quality personal service to their customers.

Our main focus is on quality which comes through our purpose built unit in Whiteside Industrial Estate in Bathgate. Here we produce our own products such as ready meals, cooked meats, puddings, sausages, national reserve champion (2008) black pudding and of course our renowned award winning steak pies. This is what sets us apart and gives us a reputation in providing and excellent "home made" taste.
