Master Sutherland's Blackbelt Academy is an outstanding example of martial arts training which is available locally in Bathgate and Livingston. Inclusive of Kick-boxing and Tae kwon-Do, these skills are taught by a professional who has attained 30 years experience at international level in competitions. We are delighted to teach authentic original ITF Tae kwon-Do, and we have two full-time gyms which are run by fully qualified staff who coach to the standards set out by the Tae kwon-Do Federation.

Our martial arts training is available for all ages and stages of these skills, inclusive of Kick-boxing, and from the beginner to the more experienced artist, we ensure that help is available for all. Our mission is to enhance positive development in a fun and motivating way. Each student has their own training plan, and progress through the syllabus is by a hierarchial coloured belt system of six colours.

Our curriculum consists of martial arts training in both junior and senior Tae kwon-Do, Korean Kick-boxing, and classes for Little Ninjas (ages 4-6yrs), and also Kickin Kids (6-10yrs). These classes are available throughout Bathgate, Livingston and the surrounding areas. Little Ninja training consists of 8 skills - teamwork, co-ordination, focus, control, balance, memory, discipline and fitness - and one skill per week is learnt.

Kickin Kids classes will improve the basic motor and listening skills of your child, and as a result he/she will be more focused and motivated to achieve their goals set in life. "Those who do are the envy of those who only watch". Age is no excuse, so come along and join in the fun at our groups held in Bathgate and Livingston.
