Entertaining and informative guided tours of the original Victorian “tower” style brewhouse enables visitors to experience the traditional brewing techniques that are still being applied today, and to witness the creation of real taste first hand.
Most of the original equipment is still in use and the tour will follow the entire brewing process from blending the ingredients to filling the casks. They may even catch a glimpse of the Theakston Cooper crafting the traditional wooden casks that are still used to supply local pubs.
The tour of the brewery will last approximately 45 minutes and at the end of the tour Visitors are invited to sample a glass or two of their legendary beers in the warm friendly atmosphere of the Visitor Centre bar. The gift shop within the Visitor Centre is stocked full of souvenirs, enabling you to take home a memory of your visit.
