Golfers Choice has been on the Barrack Road for over 21 years, it is owned and run by Matthew Bearman who, after working in the shop for 5 years decided to buy it in 2009. With a current handicap of '1' and totally committed to golf in and out of work, he really knows his stuff.

Their highest priority is customer service. You can only experience this by visiting the shop and you won't be disappointed. "Buying the right equipment is just as important for a beginner as it is for an experienced golfer and we do our absolute best to help you achieve this". Matthew and his team have a firm grip on what customer service is all about and there is no sign of them letting go.

Not every golf shop has their own Club Fitting Studio but Golfers Choice consider this to be a high priority for their customers.

You can buy a set of golf clubs from anywhere but how do you know they are the best clubs for you? It's a bit like buying a suit, the first thing you need to do is get measured up and that's what we do in our Club fitting Studio.

Factors like height, weight, swing speed, ability and experience are used to help us with initial recommendations and then a visit to our Launch Monitor will help analyse the actual launch characteristics including Launch Angle, Back spin, Side Spin, Club Head Speed and Ball Velocity which allows us to optimize the ball flight for longer, straighter more consistent shots.

Golfers Choice is an authorized Fitting Centre for Mizuno ( 2010 Mizuno National Custom fit Champion ), Ping, Callaway, TaylorMade , Nike, Cleveland and Benross.
