THE BALTI HOUSE - A taste of the Punjab:
Based near Shipley, Bradford (The Curry Capital of the North), The Balti House Indian Restaurant in Baildon is the home of traditional Punjabi cuisine served in a quaint 17th century cottage with ample car parking opposite. Here you can experience the finest original balti dishes around. Balti is a traditional northern dish originating from the North West and Northern Punjab. This is a very popular dish, freshly cooked to order in heavy cast iron woks and aromatically spiced in Punjabi Style in a very traditional way.
OUR BALTI RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE:
Our specially trained chefs generally produce most dishes mild to medium according to the style of cooking but dishes can be adjusted to suit individual requirements, please confirm at order stage.
Traditionally is eaten without cutlery with bread being used to scoop up the food using the right hand. Often families and friends would gather round the Balti dishes to share the meal with all the flavours being captured to avoid the loss of any of the taste on transfer to the plates.
All tandoori dishes are cooked over charcoal in individual portions in a traditional oven made of special clay with only natural ingredients used with little or no fat or oil (dieters need not be concerned) therefore the full flavour of the meat and the spices are retained for your enjoyment. Tandoori dishes are brought to the table sizzling. Tandoori Naans and curry sauce are recommended with these dishes.
As we do not serve alcohol, only soft drinks, we do allow customers to bring their own beers and wines.
TAKE AWAY SERVICE:
A full Balti House Indian Take-Away menu & and delivery service is also available.
