Thirsk Racecourse

Experience the beauty and excitement of a day at Thirsk Racecourse in Yorkshire. Thirsk is a friendly course, compact, with excellent facilities.

The course at Thirsk is used solely for flat racing between April and September. It is made up of two sections, a straight course of 6 furlongs, running parallel to Station Road, with the start close to Thirsk Railway Station and the winning post in front of the grandstand. There is also a left hand circuit, about one and a quarter miles in length which joins the straight course some three furlongs from home.

There is a good view of the whole course from the grandstands, almost entirely against a background of open countryside. All enclosures are well supplied with bar and catering facilities and betting points (Tote and on-course bookmakers)

Our range of facilities caters for all types and sizes of function. All are easily accessible from the main entrance on Station Road, 200m beyond the Tesco superstore. We have various function rooms available to cater from 15 to 500 guests.

We are pleased to announce that in 2010 there will once again be 14 days of racing at Thirsk, and all correspond exactly to the equivalent date in 2009 (nearest date on the same day of the week). Please visit our website www.thirskracecourse.net for all the 2010 race days.

Single adult or junior membership applies to one NAMED person and is not transferable to another person.
